O4O Involvement with PHLP

Peninsula Healthy Living Partnership has got involved with O4O: Older People for Older People.

O4O is an EU Northern Periphery Programme funded project, helping older people help themselves. Working with older people in remote, rural and peripheral communities, O4O is actively:

  • Engaging with older people’s skills, experience and knowledge
  • Nurturing enterprising and proactive activity among older people
  • Building older people’s capacity for innovation, action, enterprise and voluntary activity
 
Ards Peninsula Cancer Support Group
  • Have you been affected by the cancer diagnosis of a close family member or friend?
  • Would you like to influence and have an input into the type of support and information to suit your needs?

If these questions apply to you, we would like to invite you to come along to our support group.

The group meets on the first Wednesday of every month and the next meeting will take place on 3rd March 2010 in Portaferry Credit Union, The Square, Portaferry at 7:30pm.

There will be a bus leaving Kircubbin at 8pm sharp to travel to the following venues and return participants back to Kircubbin Community Centre departing 11pm sharp from each of the venues.

  • Friday 19th February:  Depart Kircubbin Community Centre at 8pm to Greyabbey, return 11pm sharp from Greyabbey to Kircubbin
  • Friday 26th February:  Ballywalter
  • Friday 5th March:  Glastry
  • Friday 12th March:  NRG cancelled
  • Friday 19th March:  Kircubbin Community Centre 
  • Friday 26th March:  Portaferry

There will be a £1.00 charge per person
